Is that what the "No parking, no business, no neighborhood" signs are about,
all around West 38th (near Nu Look & the Brueggers & the Paperback
Exchange)? Or is there some other parking fight going on?
And are the businesses on Lake Street going to be able to have street
parking? Gary Schiff replied to my email that the businesses on Lake support
the expansion (he cited the Mercado Central, which is one of the few that
have parking lots that don't open onto Lake). I just don't see how they're
going to widen Lake without knocking out buildings, truthfully - all the
buildings front right onto the sidewalk.
