[Mpls] Are We Ready!

It seems as though we're in a never ending story. Tonight about 10:15 p.m on the corner of 33rd and Bryant Ave North a young man was shot in the leg. (In the recent past the shooting at Jerry's flower shop and the Ice cream man.) This recent activity within the last few months has escalated out of control. The residents on this block continue to fight against these individuals who have continued to sell drugs, promote prostitution and gang violence.

As I watch a once thriving block continue to be depleted by this cancer that metastasized through our neighborhood. The residents of the 33rd and 32nd Bryant Ave block are determined to rid ourselves of this dreaded disease. We continue to show up in  numbers every Friday for trash pick up and, we are out on the streets communicating and doing neighborly things together. We have shown no fear in the presence of imminent danger from those who wish to bring harm to our block.

We have answered the call to duty and have even gone the extra mile to get things changed but, this we cannot due alone. Tonight I Sherman Patterson and the McKinley block residents are asking you the people of Mlps to come and help us continue to take a stand against these forces who wish to destroy and pilfer our block, community, and city.
