"Oppositional research" is the kind of sick unethical spin that
I've come to expect in Minneapolis. Possibly, we MIGHT be able to
buy this slimy rendition of the truth were it not for Representative
Kahn's own words, "apologies for picking up a few of your lit pieces."
A "few" meaning that multiple pieces of literature that were left on
the same doorstep? This question appears to be answered by the
Tribune's reporting of the word, "doorsteps." I think it is unrealistic
to believe that a police officer would cite a well known state
representative for a single instance of removing literature from
one doorstep. Regardless, Ms. Kahn is regular participant in this forum,
if she has any sense of integrity she should tell us herself, not leave it
for other members of her party to clean up after her.

What's most amazing to me about this fiasco is that her constituents
are, in all likelihood, going to brush this ethical lapse aside and
reelect her for another term, which says almost as much about their
ethics as hers.
