Absolutely!  The City has done exactly that on 50th Street between =
France and Lyndale and it is SLICK!  Traffic moves along steadily at =
about 30mph, which is good for the neighborhood, there is ample parking =
for the businesses and it is much less stressful... no more getting =
stuck behind someone turning left or suddenly encountering a parked car. =
 Why they would not do the same thing for Lake Street is baffling.
