"Ousted superintendent David Jennings, a former corporate executive and
Republican state lawmaker, was the kind of outsider Broad is attempting
to promote as the new reformer of public education. He embraces public
charter schools and labor relations reform."

Brandt:  Excuse me?  Is this the same Jennings who is a leading voice
complaining that the state has at best one person superivising charter
schools, and advocating for greater charter school accountability?  The
same Jennings who complains about the $1 million-plus transportation and
special education subsidies that Minneapolis Public Schools is forced by
law to provide to charters?  Who complains that the law requires better
transportation for charter school students in Minneapolis than MPS
students?  Is someone mixing him up with Wayne Jennings, who has been
the superintendent of several charter schools?
