Sounds like a good idea. I hope it's very successful. But I have to laugh.
The idea of Mitch Pearlstein hosting a forum on civility in politics is
like having John Gotti host a forum on obeying the law, or having Randy
Moss host a forum on humility and personal responsibility. As president
of the Center of the American Experiment, Pearlstein practices
inflammatory demagoguery on a full-time basis. Is it civil to belittle
those who disagree with you? To call their statements "ugly?" To
unethically cause taxpayers to pay for your partisan attacks and propaganda?
Sounds pretty rude to me.
