"Close" is the right word.  I wasn't able to make the convention today, but 
Kari tells me she failed to get the endorsement by one vote.  She had lots 
of support and collected a lot of names and contact info for Greens who are 
willing to volunteer and/or contribute to her campaign, but she doesn't 
have the endorsement of the party.
