[Mpls] SW schools escape closure - reaction?

I thought this article on November 15th explained a lot about why southwest
schools were escaping closure:

"Since 1999, kindergarten through eighth-grade enrollment in the school
district-defined southwest quadrant has slipped by a shade over 10 percent.

That's less than half of the slide in K-8 student numbers for the rest of
the South Side, which is down 24 percent, or in Northeast, which is down 21
percent. It's one-third of the loss in the North Side, where enrollment fell
by 31 percent in the same period."

Steve Brandt reports today that no Southwest-area school will close (two
were originally on the list, then one, now none). Steve says SW enrollment
is down 10 percent since 1999 compared to 31 percent on the North Side.

Since we're a citywide forum, I'm wondering about people's reactions? 
Do they see the logic in the decision, or not (and if not, why?).

Also of note: Pratt School will not be closed.
