The Taylor for 59A Campaign continues its free community forums to explore
innovative ways to address today’s most important issues.  Everyone is
welcome.  Please feel free to share this announcement with anyone you know
that may be interested.

At 7:00 PM on Monday evening, October 4th (TODAY) Betsy Barnum, a popular educator,
will discuss the power corporations hold in society, how they corrode our
democracy and what can be done to put more power back in the hands of the
people. Betsy has conducted workshops on corporate personhood at conferences
and events around the country. She is co-authoring a book, due out next
spring, on how to end corporate control of our country and world.

Tom Taylor plans on continuing community forums like these on the issues of
the day once elected. When the neighbors of Northeast work together, we can
find creative solutions and common ground.

More About the Presenter
Betsy Barnum serves on the steering committees for the Alliance for
Democracy in Minnesota and the Women's International League for Peace and
Freedom, both working to end corporate domination. She has attended
trainings by the Program on Corporations, Law and Democracy. She is the
founder and Executive Director of the Great River Earth Institute, a
nonprofit doing values-based environmental education for adults. Betsy
currently serves as the state party chairperson of the Green Party of
Minnesota.
