[Mpls] Barret Lane won't run for re-election

I know Betsy Hodges from Linden Hills is considering running.  I've talked
with her in the past and encouraged her to run.  I am a DFLer who has
supported independent candidates in the 13th Ward in the past.  I will be
happy to elect a DFLer if its somebody like Betsy - strong community
involvement, would represent democratic values, takes fiscal issues very
seriously in the tradition of Barret Lane, etc.

I wonder if former candidates Greg Abbott and Karen Wilson are interested?
Can anyone win Ward 13 with a DFL endorsement or does one have to be an
Independent? I can't remember the last DFL endorsed CM who  represented Ward
13.
