H. Humphrey Center Lesbian, feminist, writer & poet
Minnie Bruce Pratt presents the 2005 Toni McNaron
Lecture in Arts and Culture. Minnie Bruce is the
author of several books including her most recent, The
Dirt She Ate: Selected and New Poems.
Her worked has earned her numerous awards and
recognition and most recently Pratt served as the Jane
Watson Irwin Chair in Womens Studies at Hamilton
College. She lives with her partner, transgender
activist and writer Leslie Feinberg in Jersey City,
New Jersey. She is at work on a new book of poems
tentatively titled, The Only Danger. A Q&A and
reception will follow Pratts lecture. This event is
free and open to the public.

District 202 is a nonprofit youth community center
committed to providing social, cultural and
educational opportunities by and for lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender youth and their friends.
Minnie Bruce Pratt is the author of five books of
poetry. Her book of prose stories about gender
boundary crossing, S/HE, now in its second printing,
was one of the five finalists in Non-Fiction for the
1995 American Library Association Gay, Lesbian, and
Bisexual Book Award.

together to learn about sex, gender, and sexuality; to
