How Much Crime Can We Prevent With 1.1 Billion Dollars?
That's how much the leading mayoral candidates want to spend, of the
taxpayers money, for a new stadium for one of the richest multi billionaires in the
world. When we're cutting funds for education, medical research, libraries,
fire and police protection these reckless politicians want to squander
taxpayer money on an open air stadium right next to the garbage burner. According to
an air emission study conducted for Hennepin County, the precise point of
impact or the "hot spot" for most of the emissions is 417 meters southeast of
the smokestacks or more precisely, where the pitcher's mound will be.
The 1.1 billion dollar figure comes from the Minnesota Department of
Revenue. That's what a new stadium will cost over the 30 year proposed period. These
two leading candidates have never been in business. They are completely
unaware that they are being hornswaggled by one of the most cunning billionaires
in the country. Pohlad is coughing up several million more dollars than he
originally proposed and if the young and naive candidates wouldn't give in, he
would pay for it all because the value of his team will go up several million
dollars in value when he gets a new stadium. At that point, of course, he
would probably put the team up for sale and ride out of town like Red McCombs
(and GW) with hundreds of millions of dollars all ready for his next scam.
Building a stadium is the kind of jobs that they would create? Typical. It
doesn't matter what kind of jobs, just so there's more jobs. More part time
temporary low pay jobs selling hot dogs or programs on the Pohlad plantation.
Jobs are the holy grail even tho we have too many people working too many
hours at obsolete completely unnecessary jobs which only cause more waste,
pollution, greenhouse gasses, resource shortages and inflation. All the candidates
say they will create more jobs but fail to say how or what kind of jobs
they'll produce. All the candidates promise they'll build more housing when we are
not using the housing we have efficiently. Yes we'll need more housing for
the accelerating flood of illegal immigrants. Get ready folks. Mpls is big
league now. If you like sitting in traffic that gets worse everyday, if you love
the increasing taxes, crime and pollution, you'll love the future of
Minneapolis.
