I have to say, "get used to it" because city council members and the planning 
commission do whatever they want.  

We just had a SUPER Super America built in our neighborhood.  We were told 
that it would be good for the development of Lake Street.  It is suburban size 
and didn't need to be so big.  They destroyed my yard in the process yet the 
city told me to fight Super America on my own.  We have very large condensers 
going 24 hours a day and they are loud.  Delivery trucks stop all day long and 
leave their engines running.  We went to all the meetings to trim the size of 
the project down and in the end, our council members knew better than us 
neighbors what we needed.  The big hurry was to build affordable housing on the 
property up the street that SA owns.  After a year, the lot sits there untouched.
