[Mpls] Candidates $$ Chests

I am wondering the reason for the dire interest in what candidates have in  
their "chests"..isn't it more about the issues, and what they have done in  
our wards?? I find it a bit curious, especially when some of the wards are  
obviously wards where there is alot of people struggling to get by.  I for  
one, am much more interested in what issues going forward are, and  
accomplishments of the past.Especially the issues-going forward.
