[Mpls] Call for art on Central Ave. NE

The city of Minneapolis has put out a call for some
public art on Central Ave.  (See below on how to get a
copy.) There is a meeting open to artists who might be
interested in submitting a proposal to city staff in
charge of the project.

Minneapolis Department of Public Works and the Art in
Public Places Program

Central Avenue Public Art Project

Minneapolis Department of Public Works and the Art in
Public Places Program are pleased to invite artists to
apply to design public art works to be integrated into
the reconstruction of Central Avenue between 27th and
37th Avenues. Artists or artist teams may apply.

To receive a copy of the Call for Artists,  or to get
on our E-List to receive an email of future artist
calls and a weekly list of national opportunities,

Applications must be received by February 23 2005,
4:30 p.m.

Special Note: Beginning in 2006, Art in Public Places
will require electronic submissions of images instead
of slides. Stay tuned for more information.
