Not sure what constitutes a "gem" but that spot is not one of them.

I for one think it would be a great idea to have a stadium there.

I'd like to see a Holy Angels type facility if possible, which is used for their sporting events but is also rented out year-round.  Holy Angels domes it in the winter....(I can hear the gasps and fainting now.)

Why not let De La Salle, lease it and have total priority(at a price), but then also rent out the facility for adult rec leagues or other sport functions?

Currently, for example, adult recreational soccer and football leagues pay big money to rent out facilities at the U, Woodbury, Augsburg, Holy Angels and elsewhere and others amost any night of the week.

That kind of facility would seem to be great for the city.
