At the risk of posting about a topic that doesn't insult the list member
whose name we dare not speak:

1)  My neighborhood association  is wondering if there are any expired
political campaigns out there with extra H-style lawn sign holders that
would be willing to donate them to the association.  These are the kind
with two prongs that go into the ground and two that slide up into the
sign's corrugations.  They will be used to publicize the neighborhood's
farmers market.  If you have any, please contact: kfna at qwest.net

2)  Is anyone else out there scratching their head over the Park Board 
scheduling a kite festival in mid-January, and then cancelling it due to
cold weather?  I hope this doesn't presage a cancellation of next
summer's July 4 fireworks at Powderhorn because it's dark out.  And why
are the warming houses closed during a three-day weekend?  There were
lots of people skating at Isles yesterday without a warming house--why
not give them a place to change into their skates?

3)  What did people think of Spike Lee's challenging comments Saturday
evening at the Basilica?
