Compromise Revives Lagoon High-Rise Project
The City Council today approved a controversial Uptown high-rise 
after the developer agreed to lop 36 feet off the project's signature 
condominium tower. The compromise measure, which passed on a 9-4 
vote, will allow the project to go forward, but did little to appease 
either the developer or neighborhood activists who had sought to stop 
the development.
