    It is unimaginable to envision Samuels as a 'North Star'- he who is =
STILL enthralled with his 'mulatto  / Big House ' grandparents and =
derisive of his'field slave' grandmother," We don't know much about her, =
grandfather never spoke about her, we think she must have been a field =
slave".

He would have never left the plantation and the "big house" / after all- =
this is where " they saw piano lessons being taught, and books being =
read ,  ....."! " Our advantage ( family) that we enjoyed over the other =
folk in our village is a direct result of my grandfathers being the last =
of the mulatto slaves who lived in the big house " ( D.Samuels)

The True North Star proclaimed - " You gon be free or dead, cause dead =
Negroes don't tell no tales" !
