[Mpls] African Americans on the Council

     I know the Johnson Lee campaign, in its desperate attempt to portray their candidate as a martyr for minority representation, would prefer we not recognize this fact, but am I the only one who believes Minneapolis stands an excellent chance at having three African American City Council Members come December? In addition to Don Samuels, who I desperately hope will overcome the slime and mud being hurled at him from his opponent's partisans, Ralph Remington is still the leading candidate in the Tenth Ward and it looks like Jeffrey Hayden has a very good chance of winning in the Eighth Ward. 
     Minneapolis has only had two persons of color on the council at the same time (SSB and Van White from '85 to '89), so we're well on our way to improving on that. And if we include Robert Lilligren...
