I suspect some of you have seen this already, but if not, this page might

It aggregates news (blogs and mainstream media) from approximately 135 local
sources. It updates hourly and runs automatically. 

Disclaimer: I wrote it. If you know other news sources (that have rss or
atom feeds) that should be included, please let me know. 

It's only a couple months old, but it gets about a thousand visits per day,
so I'm hoping that it generates traffic for some of our local
micro-publishers.
