[Mpls] Community Appreciation Night for Evelyn Eubanks

I just wanted to say thanks to those who attended the appreciation gathering 
for community leader Evelyn Eubanks. Not many of our male leaders attended. 
Those who did attend were Mr. Ron Edwards, City Council candidate Zack Metoyer, 
NAACP President Dwayne Reed, Spike Moss and Commissioner/Mayor candidate 
McLaughlin.

The room was filled with African American women, leaders of the past, present 
and future, with Council Person Natalie Johnson-Lee hosting. There was even 
an appearance from former Minneapolis Police Sergeant Lisa Clemmons. 

I was shocked to see that neither the police chief nor the mayor were 
present. But the mayor did sent an award, as did the president of the Urban League.

It was a beautiful event and I just want to thank all who participated.
