    Hundreds of teachers have been laid off in Minneapolis in the past few years.  There really aren't many, if any, "novice" teachers in any school.  If we ever get more funding for K-12
education so we can hire back teachers or hire new teachers the whole question of experience may be an issue.  Right now, the district is laying off tenured teachers, so it's really a non-issue.
