Is there another list that might cover Campaigning and Campaign Literature...or is this going to be the one for airing the linen.
Receiving the calls from both did not bother me since time is short, people are busy and messages need to get out in en masse. If a person is busy or needs to tend to children this evening, fill out a delegate form in your ward and give to precinct chairs so you can still be involved in November.
What did bother me was some campaign literature that came with individuals making statements that sounded good but are the statements really true or true to only the spokesperson?
Reverend Al Gallmon, Victory states of RT..."he has a record of building real affordable housing and advocating for people living in poverty." When a statement, speculation, or perception is made from an individual...it might be nice to follow with fact of what has the candidate really done to warrant that statement. What is real affordable housing?.... Where was it built?
I know of one housing unit that started at @135,000 for a one bedroom...then switched to @185,000 market rate. Give the facts..let's see the average price of the building going on in the city so the public can determine if it is real affordable housing and for whom.
"Subsidy checks for developers with no accountability to the public"...statement made by Russ Adams, Powderhorn. "We need to involve neighborhoods in planning their future and building community from the ground up." Anyone involved with NRP and anyone following development and what has been going on pertaining to development should have some serious questions about this statement.
I am sure both sides will have issues and it might be interesting to get some feedback accordingly,
is this the venue for it?
