This is false. The Dome opened in 1982. The hotel/motel/liquor sales tax to
pay for the Dome blinked off on January 1, 1985. It's a very clear example
of a targeted tax going away.

The sales tax expired because user fees (ticket taxes) proved enough to pay
for the Dome. The building itself was paid off in 1998.

Please don't talk about scams and lies without doing the homework. It
weakens the case against actual misdeeds.
