The price of the food is set by the vendors, not the DFL
party. And the DFL party gets no share in this at all; we even donate the
space to the food vendors.
Both of them set their own prices. The prices were less than I've
paid at the Metrodome, at the Target Center, even less than at the State Fair.
If you wanted it more affordable, you could have brought your own
lunch from home. That's something you can't do at the Metrodome or Target
Center, or most such places. (And we had to argue with Augsburg to get
that allowed; they wanted to require that all food be purchased from their
monopoly vendor.)
If anyone has suggestions for licensed, insured, health-inspected food
vendors who are willing to provide food at more affordable prices, we'd be
glad to hear of them.
