135 union members, religious community activists, and concerned citizens
attended a press conference and then the public hearing before the Ways
and Means/Budget committee yesterday. The Living Wage Ordinance,
supported by the Living Wages YES! coalition, passed on a voice vote and
will come before the full City Council on Friday.
