[Mpls] Support Peter McLaughlin for Mayor

I encourage people to vote for Peter McLaughlin.

My experience of Peter, and the experience of many community activists I 
trust and respect, affirms that he works hard, does not take criticism personally 
and dedicates himself to grass roots activism and activists.

He has provided a forum for those of us trying to put into place a new way-- 
a humane way-- to address homelessness. I wish he would take more credit for 
the huge opportunity he has provided those of us who claim to want the 
opportunity to change the old way of treating the poorest of our residents.

He worked hard to get the LRT for this community.

He worked hard to get Veteran's housing and was vital in getting support to 
create Anishinabe Wakiagun...he did this by listening and partnering with 
community activists and also by knowing where to go to get support from those with 
the identified power in this community.

I have an affinity for public servants like Peter...he works hard, seems to 
have endless energy for public service and a sense of humor.

I certainly am not DFL old guard... I have a great deal of mistrust for the 
DFL for the most part... but Peter is someone I trust. Because he will state 
what he stands for and will discuss his position.

Thankyou to all those of you who have chosen public service. I read some of 
the posts and know I never would have the ability to take the slings and arrows 
thrown out.

So, whomever you do vote for, please vote.
