Keith says;
Joan Thom, who lives in the community, and suffers in the community,
responded to my posting: All Northside rental property owners face this danger.
I have posted her comment, below, verbatim and I will respond/comment in
parentheses.
Joan Thom-
"Well Keith how much are you charging the campaign for rent or are you just
donating this?"
(Keith Reitman- Joan kicks-off with a cheap shot. They have paid $XXXX, four
figures plus heat and electric, for a two month term.)
JT- "This Doomsday you refer to is just informing Property owners how much
they have cost the city Taxpayers compared to the Taxes they have paid for the
year. Such as one on 4th street that has used 27,000.00 in Police services and
housing Violations since the 1st of January."
(KR- Don has failed to work with the rental property owners of his Jordan and
Hawthorne neighborhoods to solve problems together. He is weak and not, as
self proclaimed, an "Alpha-male" . As an example, during his three year term he
has failed to gather and organize the landlords/stakeholders who own 60% per
cent of the homes in Jordan. Rather, he has only ostracized them and used them
as an easy target. A real "Alpha-male" in a position of power would INSIST
that, with him, landlords solve rental property issues. For three years worth of
yesterdays his failure has caused his neighbors, including you Joan Thom, and
all stakeholders additional suffering. He has wasted valuable time; and his
proffered solution, beyond simple hate, is "Doomsday for Landlords". His title
has the ring of something coming out of Iran and is not problem solving nor
consensus building. It is demagogic and one step away from "Death to Landlords";
isn't it Joan?
JT- "1,568.26 are what the Taxes are and the owner hasn't even paid the
second half of the Taxes for the year. As we all know they were due on Oct. 15."
(KR- Those taxes may be going "down with the ship" but they must reflect Don
Samuels' failure to help insure stakeholder investment in Hawthorne is a good
thing with a good, and HONEST, return. In a proper environment two new
investors step-up when one old investor fails. Don Samuels contributes to, and
enables a "Doomsday for Neighborhoods" as he fails to work hard with all
stakeholders to INSIST on solving problems. In so doing he chokes off the flow of new
voluntary stakeholders and you, Joan, live in a stagnant investment environment
filled with bottom feeding investors. The ones Don Samuels loves to hate but
whom his hater-policies preserve.)
JT- "Yet those of us who live by this property and pay our taxes and don't
use Police services and haven't had any housing violation should just live with
it while the owner makes money off the property. All the while being
endangered by his tenants. Keith do you consider this an OK way to do Business?"
(KR- No, I do not.)

(Vote for the Sister in the 5th Ward!!! She is not a self-proclaimed
"Alpha-male")
