I think the reason voters didn't get out is simply that there was no
candidate to get fired up about. Rybak and McLaughlin are cut from the same
cloth. I voted McLaughlin, simply because I like to kick out bad incumbents,
even if the replacement doesn't look much better. I guess most voters
decided, "better the devil you know." The ones who chose to stay home must
have reached the conclusion that it makes no difference.

Anyhow, have a drink to Rybak, Schiff, Lilligren, Ostrow, Gordon, Hofstede,
Johnson, Samuels, Goodman, Glidden, Remington, Benson, Colvin-Roy and Hodges
(while you still can).
