Generally the FBI has a pretty solid suspicion, but 
not enough solid evidence, of an ongoing pattern 
of criminal activity before they start wiring people. 
If this case turns out to be as specious and 
contrived as it appears to be to me right now, then 
someone at the FBI should get fired. 

I wonder how much public tax money has been, and is 
being spent on this case for the many workhours of 
well paid FBI employees? As I understand it, the FBI 
wired Gary Carlson four different times to go and 
talk to Zimmermann.
