[Mpls] Living wage policy for Minneapolis

Mark Hanson's post triggered a memory that I had to confirm by going back thru the city council's minutes. In the MPR article, my former council member Paul Ostrow indicates that he's receptive to the idea of a living wage policy, but has reservations about the possible impact it could have on the economy. In 2002 he had those same reservations about the Equal Benefits Ordinance and ended up voting AGAINST the ordinance. I'll definitely be checking to see how he votes on this and if he supports it, I think it's reasonable to ask him why he has a different standard for the Living Wage Proposal than he had for the Equal Benefits Ordinance.
