Perhaps you should allow people to say what they are feeling and believe
without condescension. Perhaps you are the one that is out of touch with
many of the people in Ward 12 because you have your own agenda, own
power of control, own circle and there seems to be no room for others with
thoughts or ideas.

The meeting about CUB was hot and ugly. Kevin McDonald was the person
who SAVED this neighborhood from the Cub store. Our councilperson took
the credit as she does in all things from...saving the spring, saving the
lake,
saving the schools, but going to a meeting or two does not match the
groundwork
that many of our neighbors do long before she gets on board or even knows of
the issue.

Stay as a private individual if you wish to be political but the slant
coming
from our NRP NENA is anything but bi-partisan. Ray asked a good
question..do the homeowners really realize that it might be their home taken
for all this new development. Maybe not...he takes issue.

It is easy for someone living over by the Lakes, central Minneapolis,
or in the burbs to write that new development is neccessary along the rail
for tax base etc....just remember... PEOPLE are living in those homes,
people
with families and memories..people who chose to live in the city...
this is not just about big dollar signs for the rest of Minneapolis.

We all know what is going on in this neighborhood...development along the
rail will happen...just don't try to railroad the citizenry.
