Franken to speak in Winona on Tuesday

Al Franken has always had opinions on politics. But as a writer for 15 years on "Saturday Night Live," he garnered laughs by making fun of liberals, conservatives and everyone in between. 

"I never felt it was our job to have a specific political philosophy or an ax to grind," Franken said. "When I left the show, I had a chance to have my own political viewpoint."
