[Winona] High School

I believe that one way to bring some light to unsubstantiated concerns is to
go to the source.
For example, if Ruth heard that Mr. Jones stated that an interior designer
is to be hired I¹d then ask Mr. Jones where he got his information and
trace it back to its genesis. The board doesn¹t and shouldn¹t have the
responsibility of micromanaging but when egregious errors are made I
believe it is our job to prevent or help solve them.
Ms. Marg¹s statement begins with an implicit pessimistic assertion. Her
second sentence seems to be a reasonable suggestion and will be considered.
Her third sentence is either fact or rumor. But by tracing back, and with
Ruth¹s help perhaps I can clarify the board position on cherry wood and
other details entrusted to those in charge of the building construction.
Re: Ruth¹s fourth sentence I believe we are addressing these issues
carefully as the class schedule becomes complete and a more accurate
accounting of referendum revenues are determined.
I too sit on the long term planning committee and as my colleague Ruth
points out - our district, and especially the high school is in need of some
very dramatic capital improvements. Some of the reports shared by our high
school faculty have been nothing short of stunning in terms of space and
maintenance needs.
Mr. Kaldunski comments are his contribution to this opinion site.
