Thank you Beth for helping point out the Urban Legend Paul got caught up in.  
BTW -- who do you think is paying to get feed to cattle and food to people and to get people to safe places and to house those made homeless due to the blizzard.  And, it wasn't Denver that got hit so bad -- it was the outlying areas in SE CO.   I see absolutely no comparison between these two natural disasters in terms of the toll on human life and property anyway.  
I am disappointed that we Americans get so easily conned by these exaggerated urban legends.
