Earlier this week, Randy Schenkat sent out an invitation to a meeting
on Thursday, to discuss the prospect of moving Winona Online
Democracy, to join the other E-Democracy.Org forums on our
Groupserver software.

We'll be meeting at the Accoustic Cafe at 4:30 PM this Thursday (Oct
18th) to talk more about this AND the future of Winona Online
Democracy. If anyone has any questions or comments about this
proposed move, I hope that you'll either be able to attend this event
- or post your comments/questions here, in advance of Thursday's
meeting.

    Date: Thursday October 18th
    Time: 4:30 PM
    Place: Accoustic Cafe

As the person who is responsible for Issues Forum support, at E-
Democracy.Org, the reality is that Winona has not gotten much of my/
our attention over the last two years, mostly because of how
separated it has become from our other forums. We think that we'll be
able to provide much more support and encouragement to your forum, if
you move on over and join us on Groupserver!!!

Both St. Paul and Mpls moved from Mailman (the software that you are
using) over a year ago - and both are doing VERY well.

Moving the forum, will simply mean that members of the Winona forum
will each have to create a new account on our Groupserver site (all
that requires is a first name, last name, and email address) and JOIN
the NEW Winona Online Forum. We've been putting a lot of work into
the new site and are continually making improvements, please take a
look and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Tim Erickson
